PANEL: NOTIFICATIONS
Push a message to everyone who installed your app. The app registers each phone once its owner allows notifications; you write the message here. It needs the Database panel connected — the device addresses live in your own Supabase.
ONE-TIME SETUPThe panel generates a small SQL block that creates the address table and a protected read function in your Supabase project. You run it once in Supabase’s SQL editor; running it again is harmless. The block contains a secret of yours — do not share it.
SEND TO YOURSELF FIRSTThe default target is your own test device, addressed by the token the app prints for itself. Sending to everyone is a separate, deliberate switch, so trying it out does not mean spamming your users.
WHY NOTHING ARRIVESThe panel says which precondition is missing rather than offering a dead button: no database, setup not run, or the app not registering for notifications yet. Remote notifications also never work in Expo Go — test on a dev build or a store build.
RATE LIMITSSends go out through Sorvel, so they are rate limited per account and the message length is capped. The message text is not stored.
