The same idea as workspace knowledge, one level down: what this project is and the rules that hold only here. “Users are salon owners.” “Appointments must never overlap.” It is sent to the model on every generation of this project.
YOU WRITE THIS ONEThat is the whole difference from the memory panel underneath it: knowledge is yours and stays exactly as you typed it, while memory is the model’s own note and gets rewritten. A rule you want kept permanently belongs here.
LENGTH COSTSThe text travels with every generation, so a long one raises the price of each request. Anything long enough to hurt belongs in a knowledge document instead.
